Finally, a new addition to the Road Stories section of the Official Sparkling Apple website. We had been getting some error messages (something to do with FTP connection or something like that), but all has been remedied. This week’s episode concerns our many visits to the Olympic Hotel in North Van in 1974, and although the premises have long been levelled (“this is a classy joint what I are trying to run here”), it will always be remembered. After a request for user input and reminiscences, we now bring you a steaming pile of… THE BIG O!
Keep on rockin’,
Captain Maniac
I remember that Chilliwack gig, and it was in Port Coquitlam, not Chilliwack (Chilliwack was the name of the band that did “Lonesome Mary”). At the time, Chilliwack consisted of Ross Turney, Bill Henderson, Howard Froese and Glenn Miller. Not sure if Clair Lawrence was part of the group then.
